From Top 36 to Top 12 down to Top 2, American Idol has a new winner. But before I reveal who won American Idol season 8, lets have a quick recap. Luck for Danny Gokey stepped out after he was eliminated last week while Kris Allen was surprised and stunned when Ryan Seacrest announced his name in the final 2 list. The fans were hoping for a Danny and Kris showdown in the finale but the reigning supreme Adam Lambert makes a sweep victory in the finals.
